Cruise lines that will require a Covid-19 vaccine

Three of the major cruise lines said all passengers going out of the U.S. ports will be required to show proof of the COVID-19 vaccine. Miami-based Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises, and Regent Seven Seas Cruises said the brand will resume operations this year.

This calls for ships cruising from U.S. ports to operate just at 60% of capacity, with the capacity add uprising by 20% every 30 days. The company had spent millions to upgrade ICU, and quarantine medical facilities on their ships.

It has been 13 months since the government blocked all cruise lines sailing from the U.S. On Friday, the agency announced a new recommendation where it is still a long way for them to allow cruise ships to restart their operations in the U.S. waters.

Since March 2020, the Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings hasn't had any departure. This is why the company is losing more than $100 million a month due to its ships idle.
