Nightclubs and bars launched legal actions against the Scottish government’s Covid restrictions

Clubs and bars have launched legitimate action against the Scottish government’s coronavirus limitations. They portray the controls as “no longer reasonable or proportionate”.

In Scotland, the hospitality industry is currently permitted to serve customers alcoholic drinks outside only. Whereas the restricted return of indoor hospitality has come with an 8 pm time limitation.

The widespread has hit the night-time economy especially severely. With mounting questions around how bosses can make sure clubs, in specific, can return safely in the near future.

Clubs and bars in Scotland started inviting back customers on 26 April, a fortnight later than those in Britain. Scottish hospitality and tourism bosses warned at the time that waiting two weeks before reopening would cost Scotland’s economy £20m.
