Microsoft Teams was down and encountering a blackout around the world for many clients for more than two hours today. The issues begun at around 6:30 AM this morning and were blocking connectivity for lots of Microsoft Teams clients over Europe and Asia.
The network issues were affecting clients globally, with some Microsoft Teams clients reporting 401 error codes when attempting to access the service through the internet. Others were able to see Teams and channels but were incapable to send messages.
This is the second Microsoft Teams outage this month, taking after issues with the service at the start of April. Microsoft also experienced Teams issues for more than four hours last month, after a verification change thumped out access to the communications app.
Azure Active Directory also experienced issues as a portion of last month’s blackout, alongside Office web apps, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and other Microsoft services. It appears Microsoft’s service issues are restricted to Teams this morning, with no other signs of Azure, Xbox Live, Office, or other services encountering issues.
