Beaches welcome special-need families with autism training

Beaches Resorts' commitment to family get-away travel goes well beyond the array of facilities, activities, comforts, and excitement at its resorts. In 2017 Beaches entered into an organization with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards to tailor get-away experiences at its resorts to include families with children on the autism range.

The partnership that started in 2017 driven to a training program, taken after by a two-year certification that at first included 80% of the guest-facing Beaches' staff. Near to 15,000 travel advisors have taken the training course and been certified.

The 40-hour training course is portrayed at exchange conventions, in-person workshops, and courses as well as online. The lesson centers on communication, motor skills, social skills, environmental and emotional mindfulness, and bullying.

Each part of the Beaches team must total ongoing training every year, which includes an emphasis on the resort's key areas, including kids' camps, front desk, entertainment, restaurants, food and beverage, and watersports operations. The recertification process moreover includes new training for the airport arrival lounges/desk team individuals in Montego Bay, Jamaica and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, which are the primary point of contact for Beaches' arriving visitors.
